Why GLAM’s Gay-Friendly Debut Worked — AllKpop.com

I’m very proud of my latest op-ed piece for AllKpop.com (the most popular English-based K-pop site in the world) where I explored how rookie group GLAM debuted with a concept based around “universal love.” A fascinating move in the still very conservative South Korea. I look into how GLAM was able to make such a debut effective and appropriate. The piece was a featured article at the top of AllKpop.com and currently has over 35,000 views and 300+ comments. This op-ed forced me not only to know the music and industry well but also the culture and past history of a foreign country which required research and some studying on my part.
