Kickstarter Kicks In — Billboard Magazine

A story that caught Billboard’s Music Editor Benjamin Meadows-Ingram was mash-up duo The Jane Doze’s campaign on Kickstarter to get them to SXSW 2012. The group offered really unique incentives for donations which allowed them to earn the money they needed and them some. My story was about bands using Kickstarter to get themselves to SXSW focusing on The Jane Doze (who I met at one point! The picture is us with the cover!).  The SXSW feature in the issue ran the stories that made the most buzz with the first 20 being about artists and mine chosen for 22nd. Article is after cut:
